Epiphone EB-0 Bridge

I recently bought a EB-0 as a project to learn how to work on a bass. I replaced the pickup with a DiMarzio Will Power Neck which made a significant difference.

However, when doing the setup, I noticed that the threaded sleeves holding the bridge in the body are starting to pull out. The sleeves are sorta pressed into the body and there's nothing really holding them from coming out.

Has anyone had this problem and fixed it with the stock bridge? Has anyone replaced the bridge and, if so, what did you use?

I had the same problem on my epi rivoli. i pulled the threaded inserts out, built up the sides of the holes with epoxy (didn't take much), installed the inserts. worked out nicely with no further problems.

Definitely - Not to worry. It's a common problem with all the Epi and Gibson 3-point bridges. The causes are: (1) The inserts aren't glued in especially well, and (2) Overadjusting one screw without moving the others in the same direction (in or out) creates leverage on the bridge that causes it to want to pull out. There are a lot of fairly easy fixes like the one Aquateen mentioned. Just be careful not to damage the finish around the holes. In the long run, the best thing you can do is remember to turn the mounting screws only about a 1/4 turn at a time, and to turn all of them if you are going to go more than 1/4 turn. After I (finally) learned how not to pull my bridge posts out, I realized the bridge is actually capable of fairly large adjustments with relatively small movement of the screws.
