Epiphone Les Paul Special bridge question

Sign in to disble this ad
I was wondering if the bridge on this bass is very good? I have found varying opinions on other threads, so I decided to try here. After playing it I am not sure since I don't have a comparison.

I am looking to replace it with either a Bad Ass I or III or a Hipshot Bridge (not sure which one works with my bass). I play flatwound strings if that comes into play. I am already going to replace the pickups with EMG's.

I am looking for ease of replacement and quality sound. I have a Bad Ass II on my P-bass and love it.

Any other options or am I just wasting my time. I play mostly hard rock, classic rock.

Thanks
