Unhappy Epoxy over nut slot

Sign in to disble this ad
Crap! I just finished epoxying my first attempt at a fretless conversion when I noticed that there must have been a gap in the tape I covered the empty nut slot with, because my nut slot is now completely filled with epoxy.
Sooo, any suggestions for getting that stuff out? The epoxy has already cured by the way...

Bring out the Holy Dremel of Antioch.

And thou shalt dremel responsibly, avoiding dangerous rodents, such as rabbits.

Or, shalt thou file extensively and carefully.

That is some of the best advice I have gotten all week. Many thanks.

File it out. The slots will need to be lower, anyway, since there are no longer any frets.

Aaaaaahhhhhh...even though it was fun to write, the file will probably give you a more consistent and level surface.

I wonder if there's a Holy Hand File of Antioch????
