ok, ive been asking a few questions about this project lately, hopefully ill be ready to start on it soon, but one more question. on my fret pull project, if i put a stain on the rosewood, would it still take to the epoxy?

Don't use a stain. Use an alcohol or water soluble dye instead and you'll have no problems.

ive heard many things about rosewood fingerboards not taking epoxy well because of rosewoods naturally produced oils, and epoxy needs to SEAP into the pores of the wood on the first layer. Many people use acetone to remove the oil on their fingerboard and the natural rosewood oil before they put epoxy on.

---Dont know from firsthand experience, just what i read around because i have been thinking of the same type of epoxy job on my already frtless rosewood board
