Exact replacement tuners (I did search)

Sign in to disble this ad
Hello, I'm changing everything on my bass over to gold hardware, and all that's left is the tuners. i want direct replacements so I don't have to re-screw. I know this question has been asked b4, and there's even one a couple spots down about replaceing tuners on a geddy Lee, but they all have different tuners then the ones I have on mine (2005 active Fender P-bass deluxe special mexican). Fender refers to them as "standard" tuners on there website here...

http://www.fender.com/products/searc...tno=0135760359

Here's a pic of the ones on my bass with dimensions. anyone know what I can switch them up with????

From doing some deeper research I've found that the closest anyone has come to a possibility is either the hip-shot HB-1

http://www.hipshotproducts.com/cart....ct_detail&p=95

or HB-2

http://www.hipshotproducts.com/cart....ct_detail&p=98

from this link...

Drop-in tuners for MIM P neck?

but there was never a final answer. please help a guy out.

I have been passively looking for 5 years and have yet to find a quality tuner with that screw placement.

I'd recommend Hipshot HB-1's or 2's.
