eyeballing neck relief

ok so when i do the normal neck relief checking i fret the e string at the first and at the last fret and i know im supposed to check the distance on the 8th fret how thick should this be? i heard about as thick as a credit card?

credit cards are a bit thick, i'd go for 1 name card (thick paper) instead. But i like my relief nearly flat, so ymmv.

But i still think credit cards are a bit thick, if you ask me.

1st and ~17th fret (where neck meets pocket or body) = 1 business card. YMMV but its a good starting point. I generally just eyeball the relief and tweak from there.
