'Fake' Gotoh Bridge/ WD?

Sign in to disble this ad
Hey guys,

I ordered a Gotoh bridge off eBay (http://cgi.ebay.com.au/ws/eBayISAPI....=STRK:MEWNX:IT) and thought i'd be receiving this.

It clearly says GOTOH 201 Bridge!
I received this.

Thought weird no gotoh name on it. But the packaging looked cheap so I was wary it was real.

Bit of googling and it seems like it's
http://www.wdmusic.com/bass_bridge_black.html.

Just wondering what you guys would do? Ask for money back because it's not as desribed (it doesn't say GOTOH STYLE) It says gotoh.

Has anyone had experience with WD Music products.

Thanks

Is it possible that they are real Gotoh bridges, but without the logo, built as OEM products? Lots of manufacturers do this. Sometimes people can get a hold of them and then are able to sell them cheaper on ebay.

If it's a copy, it looks like a very well machined, good quality copy...

either way, ask the seller.

Yeah i've contacted the seller and also WD parts and WD got back to me saying "Yes, that is a Gotoh Part."

So I guess it's Gotoh! Thanks!

if it is a Gotoh, ti looks like it would accept String-through, not sure real Gotoh's have that option

I just received a Gotoh 201. I had a Sadowsky NYC P bass that had an identical bridge without the Gotoh logo. Niether had a string thru option.
