FBass pickup height

I've been trying out different heights for the pickups and find they really respond to how their setup. The wood covers seem to add to the height of the pickup above the poles (are there poles?)...I usually go by the traditional Fender specs...how about you guys?

I havent really adjust them much except to balance out volumes between my B and C strings.
George might have already done that test and find them to be optimum at their factory setup position.

I would go on the F Bass group (that you can get to from the F Bass website) and ask George directly. Hope that helps, man I love my F Bass,
