Fender Amer Standard neck fit on a MIM body?

Appreciate it if anyone has made this swap before.....putting an American standard neck (20 fret) on a made in Mexico Fender body. The necks have the same number of frets and scale length, so I guess the neck pocket dimensions are the critical point of comparison....

i'd think that it would fit right on, but i haven't tried it.

the american standard necks are nice, with the thicker headstocks and the graphite reinforcement, but where would you get one?
