I have a 2005 Japan Fender P bass. Would a stock Fender Am fit it?

As I cuddled the porcupine he said I had none to blame, but me.

Yes they are. Same neck pocket specs, just different width at nut (PBass is wider)

not sure what you're swapping exactly, but one thing to consider is the micro tilt adjustment on the USA Fenders. You won't have the receiving plate on the MIJ body.

I have a fretted CIJ P-bass and I want to trade for a fretless P or J neck. I don't care where the neck comes from but the most common necks going around seem to be MIA J's. which is why I'm asking if CIJ/MIA and P/J are switchable.

What for Micro Tilt?

Wasn't the MicroTilt just a Bad Idea to corrent the quality control problems at Fender? How is it that 10s of thousands of Fender basses that were made correctly in the first place manage to live happily with out MicroJilt? If the body and the neck are milled straight they don't need the owner to to fix the problem afterward with an adjustment screw. Seems like it could only hurt the sustain. How stable is a neck that has a screw poked up it a*s? First time I saw that all I could say was ***!?!
