Fender Jazz Bridge Replacement without mods????

Sign in to disble this ad
I have a 98 Fender Jazz which is string through only. I wonder if there is a bridge I can install without any modification to the body that will allow through bridge stringing?

God Bless, Ray

There's a specific badass, which number, I can't remember.

Hipshot, IIRC, also do one, but its special order, or they do a Vintage Bridge that should suit.

on recommendation of RustyNuts.
Perfect drop-in for my Hoppus

I would compliment you and say that you were pretty insightful for an Irishman, however your insight on this subject is somewhat lacking SO all I can legitimately offer you is;

Darkstrike is pretty Irish.

Wish I could offer you more but you need to brush up on your knowledge of said subject.

God Bless, Ray

hahahahaha, least I tried!

If my sig only had more room........

Oh, when I did change my bridge on a Fender(former Fender), I used a Kahler, but that did require one or two slight marks to the body.

Yes its a Badass III. It is a direct replacement for string though. Three screw hole pattern.

You can get the Hipshot drop in replacement for string thru Fenders here:

http://www.guitarpartsresource.com/bridge_hipshota4.htm (bottom row)

I can't speak to the quality of these particular bridges but I have the Hipshot D-Tuner which i've had no problems with in the past 5 years, and Hipshot is known for their high quality.

simple, the american deluxe bridges of the same period, or the american "series" bridges post-2000. basically identical, but with extra holes for through-bridge stringing.
