Fender jazz tuner screw missing....

Sign in to disble this ad
I have a 2003 Fender Jazz FMT 5-string with gold hardware. a screw on the bottom of the machine head key (tuner) is missing. The screw that's missing is not the one through the gear. I looked up the part# on Fender's website & it only lists the part# for the tuner and tuner key.

Does anyone have any idea what the technical name for this screw is? could I order one or would I have to get a new tuner?

Speak to the people at Stuart MacDonald's guitar spares business or pop into your local good repair man. These guys always have a box of bits and something that will fit. They might not even change you for a screw if you buy some spare strings or whatever.
