Fender neck pocket-has holes unneccesary holes drilled.

Not a big deal, but there are a few holes drilled in the pocket, and a hole perfectly centered in the pocket to fit a dowel pin of some sort. Why did they do this?

That's where they screw a temporary "handle" for use in applying the finish. Very common.

Awe...thanks dude. So logical now. The holes don't bother me, when I go back on with my sweet Carvin neck; I am prolly going to place some brass screen in the neck pocket. Does anyone |Not recommend this?
