Fender neck pocket size - Mexico vs. USA

Is there a difference in the size between neck pockets on US made basses and Mexican neck pockets assuming the US one doesn't have micro tilt?

I "think" they are the same but hopefully someone who "knows" will chime in. You could go to a site like Warmoth and find out for sure.

Disclaimer: I don't work for Fender so all I know is what I know!

I was recently on the hunt for a new neck for my MIM Jazz, so before taking the plunge I asked my local tech/luthier/repair guy about it. These guys know their stuff.

He said that Fenders are remarkably consistent in the neck pockets and always have been, not because they cater to us bass geeks who love swapping them around, but because standardizing makes them cheaper to manufacture.

I found a USA Jazz neck for my bass and that thing fit the pocket like a glove.
