Fender Necks MIA, MIM, CIJ & Warmoth Bodies - Interchangeable?

I am starting a build project for my wife in a couple weeks - gonna build her a parts Jazz with a semi hollow Warmoth body. What necks will fit? Are all Fender necks (MIA, MIM, CIJ) interchangeable? Any issue with fitting them in a Warmoth Body?

Warmoth necks and neck pockets are made to Fender USA specs. You'll find info on that here: http://www.warmoth.com/bass/necks/ne...useaction=faq2

Import Fenders are, in theory, made to the same specs but quality control can vary. If you have a neck available, a prudent move would be to measure the neck and compare to the specs at Warmoth's site.

I can tell you from experience that not all import and USA part are interchangeable.

I know that some items are not interchangeable, like pick guards, but I do you know specifically about the necks? Does anyone?

I think your best bet is and MIA neck, but just wondering why not just get a Warmoth neck? You know it's going to fit.

I KNOW a Geddy Lee CIJ neck wont fit

I think their neck pocket's are standard on the 20 fret necks, their "deluxe" line is designed to fir 22 frets like the MIA Deluxe. I don't think fitting a standard 20 fret Fender neck into a Warmoth body would be a problem.

Just be prepared to sand the finish of the edges of the neck pocket. Be very patient....
