Fender P Deluxe Buzz

Sign in to disble this ad
Help! I have a Fender Precision Deluxe V that the electronics have started to buzz. It is bad. What are the possibilities? I like to have some idea before I drop it off to have it fixed. The buzz really happens when the treble is anywhere over concentric center towards boost.
Could the pot be bad? Could I just have a noisy active bass? None of my other active basses have any noise to them at all.
Any suggestions would be great.

So this buzzing problem just started to occur, but hasn't before? From what I'm hearing here it sounds like a problem with the trim pot, I'd check the soldering connections , and for corrosion (I've had it happen when I lived in WA). But if you aren't sure how to go about the needed repairs, I'd bring it into the shop and mention the trim pot.
