1) Send your original guard (or a tracing of it) in to a place that makes custom guards and have them make an exact match.

2)keep buying random guards until you find an exact match.

3) Fill the old holes, or not, and drill new ones where you need them.

4)Christmas elves, nuff said

these are all just off the top of my head so they're pretty "out there" lol

same problem

I bought one this week with 3 extra holes.2 for pickup guard and one in the middle of the guard its self. Plus it was real tight on the left side if the neck. I tried to return it but dont have a reciept so I am out of luck.I think the dealers should be more exact in the discription of these guards in terms of year of bass. The jazz and American Standard seem to be different. Mine is American Standard.I am trying a different company now that was specific on what model jazz.

Well, you need a guard that fits and 11 hole body.

Put your pickguard for trade here TB Classifieds and see if anyone has one.

Hi,

Check out www.wdmusic.com they have pickguards for all kinds of Fenders. However, if you have a squire like I do, you have to send them a tracing of your old pickguard.
