Fender Precision Bass HMV with a bridge cover?

Does the P-Bass bridge cover fit over the newer Fender high mass vintage bridge? I'm thinking about changing the stock bridge on my 2000 MIA P-Bass for a new HMV bridge. I dig the look of a P-Bass with both the bridge and pickup covers. Thanks.

Anybody out there with a bridge cover installed on their 08 or newer American Standard Precision Bass?

does yours have the grey steel saddles and the bridge without grooves in it?

if so, send it to me! that bridge is great, i actually prefer it over the later versions, including the latest HMV. it's way easier to get the spacing just right, and the steel saddles have a "zing" to the tone that the later brass ones don't.

( i think yes, a cover will fit.)

I put a cover on one that I recently sold. It fits perfectly, perhaps ven more perfectly than over a normal bridge. If you put it on, it just kinda slides into perfect position.
