Fender Precision Deluxe String Spacing Adjustment

Sign in to disble this ad
I just picked up a Fender Precision Deluxe bass that needs a bit of work. My main concern is the string spacing - the bass has a threaded Fender bridge - when you look at the pics you can tell that the strings are not spaced evenly, as the C string is closer to the edge of the neck than the E (Check out the pics)-

Can anyone let me know the best way to get the strings spaced evenly - ? Is it simply a matter of eyeballing it? Thanks!

If you have your bass PLEKd, the spacing will be so perfect, that your playing will improve
120%!

Kidding: eyeball it.

Just out of curiousity, how do you adjust the string spacing on a P bass?

loosen the 4 neck screws a quarter turn, push the neck over until the outside strings are lined up with the edges of the neck, retighten. easy.
