Fender Precision Special Setup

Sign in to disble this ad
hey i have a precison special, 4 string, have had it for about 2 years, played it in a band for a year, then kind of cut playing way down for the second year with school killing my time, but i'm getting psyched on playing again and was wondering if there were any good setup tips for it, such as string tension, which i prefer, or anything like that. i would love to make it sound the best it can but i have no technical know how on how to do that.

thanks.

My advice to someone who's never tooled on a bass before? Don't. I know that sounds harsh, but if you gack your bass up you'll feel a lot worse than you do now. Take it to a reputable technician. Where are you at? I'm sure someone can recommend a tech close to you.
