Fender STD MIA Jazz and STD MIA P Action

Just curious, I have the RI MIA '57 and a 2010 MIA Std P, the J's are a 2010 MIA Std and a Squier VMJ.

I have set them up per Fender's set up guide and find I can lower the Ps more than the Js, is this normal ? a result of the different necks ? Both J's buzz or choke at just about the same height past the 12th fret.

I have been at this for a little over a year and half and have managed to injure my hand and arm, thankfully it is minor and the pain is going away. I think I caught it soon enough and have been following Dr Kertz's book. Thus I am lowering the action as much as I can to make fretting easy + making sure I don't over fret when I practice which I was doing.

I use flats and rounds, 45-105's, the choice of flats vs rounds doesn't seem to make too much difference on the height before I get buzzing past the 12th.

Just curious if this is a known thing

The action on the J's is low and comfy...just not as low
