Fender Vintage Experts: Restoring Parts Questions

Sign in to disble this ad
I hope someone with experience can answer some detailed questions in regards to vintage Fender Jazz basses...

1) Is there a difference between a thumbrests from a '68 bass versus one from a '74?

2) Also, other than possibly extra pitting, is there any difference between the chrome pickup covers from a '68 versus ones from a '74?

3) Finally, when it comes to the nuts ( ), are they all the same? Would the nut from a '74 bass be the same as one that would have been on a '68

Thank for any help or tips you can provide.
