I've decided to replace the BAII with a vintage type bridge on my Geddy Lee. Is there a difference between a Fender one and a Hipshot?

The vintage bridge made it come alive, much more resonant and punchy.

And cosmetics. Hipshot vintage has a more finished look because it was never intended to be under the 'ashtray' the way the Fender bridge was.

I'd like to see someone sell a Lakland style bridge - they are dirt simple and low mass...

Function before form.
