Fernandes Tremor Bass Truss Rod help needed

HI,
I just purchased one of those Fernandes Tremor basses from ebay. I got it in the mail and pulled it out of the case and the truss rod neede some adjusting, so I pop off the truss rod cover and low and behold the truss rod nut is stripped out. Is there any way to fix this or replace the nut? Or, for that matter is there anyone in the Los Angeles area that can fix this?
