filling graphite neck holes

Sign in to disble this ad
I am going to put new mounting holes and inserts in a used moses graphite neck and thought I'd fill the old ones with a 2 part epoxy first. The new holes will be in a different location but I just thought I would be thorough. Is epoxy a good plan?

I've patched composite necks with marine epoxy (the good stuff that you find at marine supply stores). Works well and can be re-drilled, sanded, you name it. I managed to snap off a tuner anchor screw. After extracting the broken fragment, I filled the screwhole with marine epoxy and, once cured, I drilled a small pilot hole and re-tapped with the new screw. Worked like a charm.

Yep! No 5-minute junk, though.
