Fitting mini-machine heads on a fender style bass?

Sign in to disble this ad
As most people would know, Fender basses use those big butterfly wing machines. Personally Im not a big fan of those and I am looking to fit mini-machine heads which have the 'Y' shape rather than the butterfly shape. does anyone know where I can buy mini machine heads that would fit a fender bass? I believe the measurement needed is 18 something.

I have some HB6C's with a matching Detuner and they are my favorite tuners. Smooth as a baby buttocks and they were the easiest tuners to install I've ever had. Highly recommended. Hipshot's customer service is wonderful as well. They (1/2" shaft hipshot mini tuners) fit the standard fender holes just fine.
