fixing a ding

i have a small ding crack on the back neck,in the finish of my brand new rb4,about the size of 1/4 of the very tip of my finger nail,really small,whats the easiest way to repair it,or seal it,or should i just leave it alone?

I really don't think you should worry about something so small. People can get so bent out of shape about the most minor things. My jazz bass has tons of imperfections on it caused by me over the years. It gives the bass "character", and only increases my fondness for the bass.

yeah its only cause i bought it new, and paid alot for it, but i dont want to send it back.

Oh, I totally understand. An investment made such as this can hurt a little especially when your pristine bass gets a little hurt. But what you are describing really seems trivial. I mean, if it was a bigger ding, or a long scratch or something, then I would agree that something should be done. But what your describing sounds like it is virtually invisible to everyone but you.
