What is a floating tremolo bridge? (I used the search function)
From what I've seen on a strat (springs in the body), and on hipshot products (no springs), I'm guessing that it has no connection? Am I right?

Actually, the Hipshots do have springs and are very similar to American Strat trems (two pivot points).

Floating refers to the fact that the tremolo does not touch the body when tuned up to pitch and allows the pitch to be bent up as well as down.

Are the Kalher's capable of going up and down? If so, it's even higher on my "pointless mods" list...

Yes they are, and the rout is way less that the hip shot.

Oh I knew that they took up WAY less space. Now that I know they can bend up and down it's number one on the list. I just wish they weren't so expensive. $400 is A LOT.
