| Generally speaking, if strings buzz in the lower register, it needs a truss rod adjustment (loosen). If buzzing is in the higher register, it generally means a string height adjustment is on order.
In this case, since it is only the B that is buzzing, I would first look at the nut and make sure the string is seated 'properly'.
Then I would do as recommended by another member and try raising the B-string height at the saddle just enough to make it stop.
Then, if the neck has a dual truss rod (two individual rods, not a dual action single rod), I would loosen the one on the B side a bit. Actually, I would probably do that right off the bat, but if you are unfamiliar with the process, you should probably try the other things first. Truss rod adjustments can be tricky, especially when balancing two of them.
If all else fails, also as mentioned previously, have it set up by a local pro. The nut may need to be filed, a fret leveled, any number of things. |
