Fret dressing?

Sign in to disble this ad
My Yamy needs a fret dressing! My Sx needs a fret job! I could easily spend $120-150 getting both done professionally, that being the price quoted so far, but I have a desire to learn this craft and do my own, but I truly don't know where to start.
I did do a search on "fret dressing" but honestly after reading the first two pages of results, I am no closer to an answer.
My plan is to tackle the SX first, so if I fubar it, at least it's not an expensive instrument.
So, what do I need and how do I do it, or is there a resource out there that I can learn from?
Thanks,
fishheadjoe

Search the Stewart McDonald website. Look at the books and videos available. Check out the tools.

Hey - Definitely let us know what you find out. I have a Stewart-McDonald catalog too, and there is everything you need + resources there. I'm real curious so be sure to let us know the steps you take, and how it works out for you. Good Luck

Relax the neck to straight before you start.
