Anybody know the differences between having a large fret or a small fret wire. Victor Wootens basses appear to have smaller wire than other basses I ahve seen. I notice Carvin has fret wire options when you order from them. I have never really noticed the fret wire before. I am wondering how much of a difference in feel the neck would be? I t seems me there could be quite a difference between the stainless steel frets that are large or jumbo frets and some small mandolin size frets. |
