Fretboard cleaner/polisher that works on maple?

Would Dunlop Lemon Oil Work? Ive looked at a couple cleaners, but none were for use on maple fretboard. Also, if the lemon oil would work, would it damage the frets?

Yes, lemon oil will work. No it won't damage the frets. You will find a variety of opinions on different types of oil. I prefer "boiled linseed oil" to lemon oil.

A lot of lemon oil products have carnuba (or some such) wax in them. Stay as far away from products that contain wax as you can. They will collect dirt and gum up your neck and fretboard. Especially if the maple is "unfinished" (i.e., no varnish or polyurethane, like a MusicMan neck).

I believe Formby's Lemon Oil has no wax in it.

dunlop 65 lemon oil has no wax in it.

I don't have maple necks, but I've used it on unfinished purpleheart, rosewood, and ebony with no issues.

You only need to apply it about 2 or 3 times a year.
