Fretboard Oil Treament Methods

Sign in to disble this ad
Help me try and understand the different treatments for Bass Guitar fretboards.

I have always used Lemon oil, as a once a month conditioner. I have found that this keeps the wood feeling very soft and nice tone to the neck.

Now there are those who say that it si the worst thing you can apply to a neck because it shrinks and cracks the wood.
I have expensive basses with Ebony, Owenkol and Rosewood fretboards, CARVIN, FENDER, WARWICK basses.

Now I see a product called BOBS Fretboard Conditioner, I wonder is this is the best thing to use?????

Please help a brother bass palyer out and dispell the rumors about freatboard maintenance

Thank You
