I got a new Squire Vintage Modified Fretless,these are excellent for $300!!..I'm going to upgrade the bridge,Can anyone tell me if a string thru body bridge would benefit this 4 string??:bass

It won't benefit that 4-string bass

It's quite debatable whether string through bridges make a big difference. Bottom line, if you can do it yourself...correctly...then go for it if it's something you would like to have.

However it isn't easily done without the right experience and tools.

If all you have is a hand held drill, then forget it, it's virtually impossible to drill the four holes straight and true without a drill press.

If you have to pay someone to do it then the law of diminishing returns kicks in, especially on this inexpensive bass.
