Hi,guys, can anybody tell me how much neck relief is usually used on a 6 string fretless bass?should it be fairly straight on a fretless?or about the same as on a fretted bass?thanks.

As Joshua mentioned, its a matter of personal preference. As for my fretless, I like an almost zero relief neck and, if you have a good neck and a very good fingerboard surface, you can set it to zer relief without major buzzing. The more straight the neck and the lower the strings the more mwahh you get.

All my fretless basses have as flat a relief as I can manage, you may as well start flat and add curve that way rather than gradually working your way flat. It depends on your preference, and the nut has a lot to do with how flat your board can be.
