fretless buzz

I've got cheap Rogue fretless and by the way of alternate tunings and varying gauges of strings it has developed an annoying buzz at the nut on the highest string, which is tuned to A. I think the groove in the nut it just worn. Could that be built up slightly with an epoxy product, or does Rogue sell a replacement nut? I don't have a lot of bread right now.

Take like a 1 square cm sized piece of paper and fold it once or twice. Put it right in the nut groove so it fixes the problem but doesn't mess anything up, you know? Nobody sees the piece of paper.

Wow. That is the CHEAPEST fix I have ever heard.

Sounds like it would work, though. I won't believe that it makes no tonal difference at all, but if you're really unwilling to spend the few bucks for a new or re-shaped nut, this is probably good enough, and as good as you're going to get.
