Fretless or fretted Grabber?

Sign in to disble this ad
So once all the parts come in I will have the option to use either a Warmoth fretted neck or a real Grabber neck that has been de-fretted for the Grabber project I will be starting in the next couple weeks

I plan to tune the bass to BEAD but have never heard what a fretless bass sounds like with a low B.

Opinions?

I have a fretless fiver, BEADG, ebony fb. B sounds freaking awesome, like the other 4 strings below it.

Typically when I'm going to be using that lower register, I'm going to want a bit of a growl and I'm just wondering if the fretless will just make it wound too smooth..
