Frets dressed, new nut, truss rod adjusted...like having a new guitar!!

Just got my '94 MIA Jazz back today...had the frets dressed and a new bone nut cut. Guy found a little too much bow when he set everything up, so he adjusted the truss rod a touch.

Strapped it on, plugged it in, and Wow! It plays like a dream. I am amazed how much of a difference it made. Of course, the nut had cracked, and was in pretty bad shape, and some of the frets were pretty bad, but it is really night and day now.

This is the same Jazz I recently rewired and switched over the system (EMG J set) from a 9 volt to an 18 volt. It is like a different guitar now. The only other thing I want to do is to replace the saddles, and I'm set.

My guitar guy charged me $80 for all of this, which I thought was a very good price. The frets look brand new now.

$80? Yeesh, that's a good deal! Mine is $120 for a fret dressing alone.

I just had my new SB-2 setup by Mike Lull (redressed frets, oiled board, etc) and the bass just kills.

For $70!
