Fretwire for 30" Musicmaster

Sign in to disble this ad
Hi, first post here! I've come across this forum quite a few times, though and it's been very informative. I mostly play guitar. I've played bass but never have owned one until now that I'm going to refret my "new" battered 30" scale Musicmaster but I don't know wheter going with similar fretwire width (about 2,2mm/.086") or try something slighty bigger.

The thing is that I like small frets -in guitars- and don't like even medium jumbos, however being a bass I thought they wouldn't be so noticeable. Do you think .086" fretwire is right for this kind of bass or something wider would suit it better?
Thanks
