Wrap a towel around your bass neck to protect the finish. Take a toothpick and put 1-2 drops of WD40 on it. Apply carefully to truss rod nut (the WD40 could mar your finish, hence the towel). Let it sit for a couple of days and then try again. Also, try loosening your strings. Sometime the tension of the strings can make it difficult to move the truss rod. I've had this happen even when trying to loosen the truss rod.

Will try that, the bass is not under warranty it was brought back to the UK about 8 years ago.

I always loosen the strings before attempting to adjust the truss rod.
I've run WD40 into the truss rod including leaving overnight but to no avail, looks like a major repair job.

Try something specifically made for loosening seized threads. Kroil, PB Blaster, etc...

I always loosen strings before adjusting truss rods.Ive heard people dont & i think thats wrong.
It could have a little glue stuck to the nut preventing it from turning, not a huge problem to fix !
