When the neck is taken off, looking at the bottom of the neck at the truss rod, which way do I turn to loosen, ie. add relief?

Please help!

Clockwise to tighten, counter-clockwise to relief.

OK, I'll be the first to say it...just remember : "righty tighty, lefty loosey"
loosening adds relief, tightening takes it away.
