Gibson Ripper E String Sustain

Sign in to disble this ad
Hey everyone, I've got an old gibson ripper that I just can't get any sustain out of on the E string when I drop it down to a D tuning. The note is loud and clear but then immediately trails off. Every other string sounds fine, I made some truss adjustments and the neck is straight, any thoughts?

I'm already playing 105's, what's the next logical step, 110's?
