Hey guys, I'm in the Sac area and was looking for a good luthier. Nothing major, just setups and fret work. Price isn't a problem, I just want someone good. Thanks.

Hey there, I live in the sac area too. There is a small guitar shop called guitar werkes on Fulton and marconi. The guy who owns the place is a really great guy and is pretty reasonable. He popped in a new preamp and pickups for only 60 bucks. You might wanna try him.

Woody Boyd is my favorite, http://www.boydguitars.us/ his shop has a great vibe, he's really personable, likes to teach you what he's doing, and is just an all around great guy.

Also if your ever out in winters check out ARC guitars, great guys.

I'll 2nd Henry as he just did a setup for me. Nice guy and I just hung back while he did the adjustments. A bit of a learning experience which is a plus too.
