Good place to buy a Fender Vintage American '57 synthetic bone nut?

Howdy,

I need to replace the nut on my Vintage American '57 RI Precision. It is a pretty wide neck, maybe wider than 1 5/8" but I need to recheck. Is there a good source for these? Preferably pre-slotted.

Thanks,

Mike

It should be 1.75" for your bass. If you're purchasing on line, you may end up paying too much because of minimum order restrictions.

I'm sure Stewart-MacDonald does.

Well, I am still looking. The radius of the "off the rack" nuts are 9.50" (standard P's) and the Vintage Fenders are 7.25" radius.
Anyone else know where I might find one in a "ready-to-go" flavor.

Or....will the 9.5 bend a little?

OK. Nevermind.

I found a local tech who is going to fix just the errant G-notch via super glue & powdered bone.

Should be ready Monday! I already miss the dang thing! Time to tune-up the Jazz.
