A Good Place to Buy Saddle Adjustment Springs?

Sign in to disble this ad
I have a bass that is missing one of the little springs that pushes the saddle up (toward the neck) when adjusting intonation at the bridge.

Is there a place I can buy one or two springs cheaply? I thought of using the spring from a ballpoint pen, but the diameter is too small.

I have a well stocked hardware store nearby where I've picked up useable springs. I bought 4 of them so they match but it's not really necessary. If a spring is a bit too short it can be stretched a bit (if it's stiff enough) so it works.

+1, hardware store. These are nothing special.
