Good source for maple veneer to fill fret slots

In case anyone's searching this forum for sources of maple veneer, I just defretted my first bass (a $100 Fairlane FN1 I found on Ebay) and filled the slots with Lee Valley's veneer business cards, cheap at $3.50 for 50 cards. I emailed them first to find out the thickness, and they responded (promptly, of course) that "The Veneer Business Cards (product # 99W8905) we carry are approximately 1/32" thick"

Worked really well! A fun project if you like woodworking at all. I'm thrilled with my new fretless!

I also found a few other goodies there that also helped me with my project: a low-viscosity cyanoacrylate glue called "Hot Stuff", and a rosewood "wood blank" for $2.20 that I used to create some extra rosewood sawdust (to fill in some areas of the fingerboard that got chipped when I yanked out the frets).
