Gotoh 201 bridge & Fender bridge cover on a J

Will the Gotoh fit under the bridge cover?

Anyonr tried/done it?

I've got both styles of the Gotoh 201 (old and new) new being the one with the gotoh badge on the bridge. I just went and checked all 4 of my basses and the cover fit on all of em.

My experience is that yes they will fit under the cover..... however the cover would not line back up with the original holes on mine, so i chose to leave it off rather than drill new ones...
