| Gotoh 203 fits under bridge cover (ashtray)?

I've got a Squier VM Jazz and I'd like to upgrade the bridge to the Gotoh 203. It's slightly thicker than the stock bridge and I'm wondering if I'll have any issues fitting it under the ashtray.
Anyone have any experience with this?
