Hallo to you all!
I am constructing a 5 string bass guitar! The neck is almost done !I have the Gotoh fender style machine heads but they are too heavy! Is this going to effect much the balance of the bass guitar no matter the weight/shape of the body?Any advice please??Thank you in advance!!

I built a bass with them recently except a 4 string. They certainly are heavy! They will affect the balance, but it would be very hard to know if it will badly affect it. It would depend on your body shape and weight, and how it balances now (if you have put it together without tuners). If you have a heavy body with a large top horn it should be fine. Minus one or both them and you may be in trouble.

Thank you my friend...mmm I think I will have to sell them and get new ones to be sure for the balance and avoid getting into trouble!
