Are Gotoh Open Gear (Fender Style) Resolite Tuners reversible?

Sign in to disble this ad
Want to use these on a Stingray and was wondering if they are indeed reversible. They look like they would be (ala Schallers), but none of the literature I've found says anything about this. If you have normal Gotoh open gear tuners, it would be the same. Anyone using either of these?

Tuners in question:

Here's one of my Gotoh GB9s. I was able to disassemble and reverse it.
As I understand it, the GB640 Res-O-Lites are just a lightweight version of the GB9
( which is itself lighter than the stock Fender reverse tuners ). So, unless there's some
design difference, you should be fine.
Nicest thing about these tuners is how smooth and effortless they operate.

These don't fit MM basses - the plate is too big (overhangs the top of the headstock). Bummer. Guess I'll have to put together another Jazz.
